Productivity is one of those vague buzzwords that everyone says when they talk about business, but what does it actually mean? It’s actually easier to define a lack of productivity, which is where nothing gets done. When you’re paying employees, paying bills, and hopefully paying yourself, you need all that time and money to be worthwhile.

One way to make your business more productive is knowing when to outsource certain tasks. When you try to do everything, you never really achieve anything.

Marketing

Marketing is one of the most important things you should use a professional marketing team for. Without dedicated marketing employees, you simply can’t develop a marketing strategy or campaign that will have a huge impact. True, you can do small things like develop a blog or social media campaign, but if you want big results, you need to outsource your marketing.

Incremental uses Hubspot to power marketing, sales, and service. This means that it follows the full customer journey. As well as attracting attention with good branding, it can result in some solid sale conversions.

Payroll and Administration

Admin covers a massive amount of tasks that run in the background to stop your business from grinding to a halt. If you are a sole trader with a few clients and no employees, you probably do all the administrative work yourself. It’s simple, and it needs to be done.

But as your business grows, you need to think about how you can better use your time so your company can be more productive. Tasks like payroll management and other administrative duties can then be outsourced to agencies, as they’re still absolutely necessary, but don’t necessarily have to be performed by you.

After all, very few people start a business because they adore admin and paperwork. If you do love admin and paperwork, then consider opening up an admin agency, because you’re sure to have plenty of customers.

IT Services

More and more businesses have become digitally based, and you can absolutely run an entirely online business if you want. This is great for productivity, until your IT systems go down.

At this point, you need IT support right away. While you could hire a dedicated team, they will probably spend most of their time doing very little while pocketing a salary, because you only really need IT support when you’re upgrading or when something goes wrong. Outsourcing your IT service needs is often a better way to invest your funds.

Customer Support

One of the key tenets of good business is to keep the customer happy. While they might not always be right, they might sometimes have a good reason to get in touch.

By outsourcing your customer support, you can screen a lot of these calls and figure out who needs specific help and who can be handled by an outsourced agent. This saves you and your employees a huge amount of time and keeps the customer happy.
