Christmas Writing Challenge #11

A Dog For Christmas

When lucky the Christmas pup becomes a handful, his new owners give him up on new year’s day.

Sad lucky sits overlooked in a rescue centre for what seems like an eternity. As snow melts and leaves appear on the trees, finally a nice old man with a big white beard takes him in.

Lucky is the luckiest dog in the world, because for the next six months he goes under the most intense training to become Santa’s little helper. He’ll be delivering presents with the big guy next Christmas. But with a tendancy to slobber on the gifts, will he be up to the challenge?
