Writing Collaboration #18 – Moving

writing collaboration moving

It seems like forever since I last posted a writing collaboration. I do still have a couple in my inbox, so apologies to anyone who has been waiting for a long time for me to get to them. Life seems so hectic this year and I cannot believe that I have just blinked and it is the middle of March. It has probably not been as hectic for me as it has been for today’s writing collaboration partner Aspasía S. Bissas, who has been moving!

Although it seems tougher to get around to writing these pieces, if you are interested in taking part in a writing collaboration, get in touch. And you have previously emailed me, maybe drop me a message to bump me into action and get me moving!

Writing Collaboration #18- Moving – Aspasía S. Bissas

Moving, always moving, from place to place.

Accumulating more but never keeping it,

never keeping anything of value.

She kept looking for something,

something true,

something worth staying for.

Something she would never find.

Moving to escape the lonely places,

but they always followed.

Bio: Aspasía S. Bissas is the author of the dark fantasy novel Love Lies Bleeding. She lives in Toronto and is currently working on her next novel. Find out more about her work, including her free stories “Blood Magic” and “Tooth & Claw,” at https://aspasiasbissas.com/books. Moving – Peter Wyn Mosey

There are some boxes that forever remain unpacked,

baggage carried from life to life.

Tucked in hidden corners,

our of sight, out of mind,

carefully bundled in bubble wrap.

Burdening and taking up space,

where future memories should be stored.

How many walls make a life,

and how many houses does it take,

To finally find home.
