Spoken Word Saturday #2

spoken word saturday

As part of this month’s Peoplespeakup Spoken Word Saturday lockdown non-gathering I submitted a video of me reading “You can believe what you want but it doesn’t make it the truth” I’d love it if you checked it out.

PeopleSpeakUp is a Llanelli-based social arts, health and well-being enterprise. They run story-telling groups and host spoken word events. Throughout lockdown, the organisation has continued to function and everything has been done online.

This is my second time to try and perform my poetry live. Hopefully I am getting better! Though I am getting a taste for doing it now! You can watch me from 19:03 in this video:

I am immediately followed on the video by a piece that my wife, Chrissie, wrote from the perspective of our dog, Pablo. Go check out her piece too! Obviously, as always Pablo steals the show.

You can see her piece about Pablo from 20:17

Be sure and check out some of the other great writers who have pieces on the Spoken Word Saturday video too!

    1. This is what everyone tells me. Pablo is literally a show stealer!! Also, the impressive thing is that Pablo’s piece was Chrissie’s first attempt at writing!! I was very impressed.
