Guest Post- Pilgrimage of a Garden Chair

guest post anisha

I’m sharing something a little different today- something which is not my own work. I’d like to showcase the talents of Anisha in the first-ever guest post on this site! Hoping to see some of Anisha’s work on The Finest Example soon! If you’d like to get involved either guest posting here, or providing work for The Finest Example, do let me know!

Pilgrimage of a Garden Chair

Spiritless and slow-
I drag myself
across this listless road-
sunken in mud
until I wear my own footsteps.

Seeking salvaged solace
on a concrete island,
feet adorned
with a caked legacy.
Proudly plumed on this deck-

Better to be made king
of the non living,
than born martyr
in sunken clay.
