Happy new year to creative writers and readers everywhere! Here are your first writing prompts for this brand spanking new year. Please make sure that you link this post if you use any of these creative writing prompts so that other writers can have a go, and so we can all see your amazing pieces. Be as creative as you like!
As with all of the other creative writing prompts that I post, you can write anything you like. That means you can create a monologue, a flash fiction piece, a song, a letter, a poem, or get really creative and invent a totally new medium. Maybe you can be the first writer to work in a new genre? Or, maybe you are just happy sticking to the only seven stories that actually exist.
So, writers! Today’s creative writing prompts are…
1. We didn’t start the fire.
2. Do you want to piss me off?
3. You have beautiful eyes, it’s a shame…
Or, as always, you can also use the image! Be sure and include this in your post!
There’s no deadline and there is no contest. These are all just for fun! The only prize you will earn is the great feeling you get from creating some fantastic writing. Be sure and share it with the world, because it’s the best way to grow your confidence and get some feedback!
Remember, if you post your writing anywhere online, add a link to this post. Otherwise, feel free to drop your writing into the comments section before. I always love reading anything that gets written based on these prompts.
I’m just reading this as a trigger for some other writing, but it’s just occurred to me that my latest post could very easily link to “We didn’t start the fire!” Here is is – https://everydayradical.net/2020/01/06/australian-bushfires/
