Spoken Word Saturday

spoken word saturday

Last week, for Peoplespeakup’s online gathering of Spoken Word Saturday, I had my piece Worn Down Locked Down featured (Go and read it, if you haven’t already done so!).

Peoplespeakup is a local social art group that uses spoken word, writing, and storytelling for building community and well-being.

I don’t really very often read anything I’ve ever written aloud on video. Cringing a bit at the sound of my own voice. But here I am anyway. Maybe I’ll brush up on my skills for the next Spoken Word Saturday..,.

If you’d like to take a glance, I am at 15:17 of this video, and my piece is not very long! Of course, check out the other pieces while you’re at it there are plenty of great pieces on there!

Hope you all enjoy!
