I have started to go to a local writing group. Recently we were set the challenge of writing ‘Who and When’. Here is a short poem called ‘Redacted’ I wrote based on that theme. I’d love to know what you think about it in the comments.
I have redacted
the faces
and the names,
the times
and the location.
But I have retained
a photocopy
of the feelings
To carry with me
in my back pocket
A snapshot of the shame
as an unhappy souvenir.

I am. But maybe more just as a chance to interact with other people. I work from home most of the time and have very little human interaction, so it’s good to be around people occasionally!
Same here. I’m considering joining a group, but I’m not great with groups lol I might give it a go anyway.
I’m not really either. It’s good to push yourself to meet people though. Once you get over the hurdle of going in the first place it gets easier.
