Creative Writing Prompts #23

“You can’t wait for inspiration, you have to go after it with a club”Jack London Hello one and all! I am back with another set of writing prompts for you to get your creative juices flowing once again. The rules are simple, if you love to write and you have read this far, go and pick one (or more) writing prompt from the list below and write something fantastic.

Write whatever you feel like. You can write a poem, flash fiction, a play, a political manifesto, an encyclopedia entry on bees, write about a time you took over the world, or, give instructions on how to get to the nearest supermarket- as long as you manage to get the prompt in there in some-way-shape-or-other!

If you suffer from writer’s block, it is best not to overthink these things, just go for it! These writing ideas are a great jumping off point.

Remember, when you have finished writing your magnificent work, if you choose to share it with the world, drop a link to these creative writing prompts in it so that me, and anyone else who wants to can read it!

Often the first words are the hardest to write, so why not use these as a great jumping off point? Feel free to use any of these story ideas.

The Creating Writing Prompts Are:

  1. You, me, and the deep blue sea
  2. I have one piece of advice for you son, and it’s this
  3. I have a plethora or placards
  4. He was the worst dancer I had ever seen
  5. The skittles scattered like bouncing bombs
  6. There is no easy way of saying this, I died last night
  7. Seven of your little friends called around
  8. She walked in like a typhoon
  9. There was little chance I would ever forget this moment
  10. Give me the words and I will sing them

Now, off your go, and start writing!! Don’t forget, as always, to enjoy yourself!

  1. One or two of these might fit in my WIP or as a mash with other prompts I haven’t gotten to yet…
